Banking guidance

Prepare properly before approaching UK banks.

Non-resident banking is entirely possible — but it rewards founders who arrive prepared. We help you present your business professionally: clean documentation, a coherent business description, plausible turnover expectations and a well-structured company file. That preparation materially improves your readiness for onboarding with UK banks and payment providers such as Wise Business, Revolut Business, Airwallex and Stripe.

We are independent advisors and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an agent of any bank or payment provider. We do not guarantee approval. Every provider makes its own decision.

Frequently asked questions

Non-resident UK company formation.

Can a non-resident form a UK Limited Company?+

Yes. There is no residency or nationality requirement to incorporate a UK Limited Company. Non-residents can be sole directors and shareholders and can own 100% of the company from anywhere in the world.

Do I need to visit the UK to register a company?+

No. The entire incorporation is completed remotely with Companies House. We coordinate identity verification and documentation on your behalf.

Do I need a UK address to register a UK company?+

You need a UK-registered office address for Companies House and typically a UK service address for directors. Our Prestige and Elite packages include both for 12 months.

Can I open a UK business bank account as a non-resident?+

Yes, but bank onboarding for non-residents requires strong documentation and a well-presented business. We provide banking readiness guidance and introductions to UK-friendly providers. We do not guarantee approval.

How long does UK company formation take for non-residents?+

Once documents are prepared and identity verification is complete, incorporation is typically completed within one to two business days.

What ongoing obligations does a UK Limited Company have?+

Annual confirmation statement, annual accounts, corporation tax return, PSC filings and — if registered — VAT returns. We support you across the full compliance calendar.
